Nats Family Report is excited to welcome back Josh Bell to our team!

Here are 5 facts to get to know the newest National, Josh Bell

  1. Bell was signed by Pittsburg in the second round of the 2011 draft

  2. The Nats signed Bell to a 1 year/ $6 million to fill in the Dh spot and serve as a backup 1st baseman.

  3. Josh Bell was traded to the Nationals from the Pirates between the 2020 and the 2021 season. He was part of the Juan Soto trade to San Diego in 2022. His overall stats from being with the Nats were .271/.363/.483 with 41 home runs and 145 RBIs.

  4. Bell is 32 years old and attended Jesuit College Preparatory School.

  5. He has played at the major league level with Pittsburg, Washington, Cleveland, Arizona, and now back to D.C.
