As we hit the 1/3 mark of the season, Nats Family Report gives you the report card for the starting pitchers in the Nationals rotation.

MacKenzie Gore: A

26-year-old Gore started the 2025 season off strong as he recorded a terrific 13 strikeouts on opening day. Currently, Gore leads the major league in strikeouts, ahead of Tarik Skubal. With a 3.67 ERA, he has had many quality starts, giving only 18 walks through 56.1 innings pitched.

Jake Irvin: B+

Through 60.1 innings pitched, Irvin has a 3.88 ERA, issuing 17 walks and allowing 10 home runs. Irvin has been solid so far this season, but he has had to work around a high pitch count in many of his games pitched.

Mitchell Parker: B

After a hot start to the season, Mitchell Parker has slowed his roll. Throughout his first 5 games, he had an ERA of 1.39. Now, through 10 starts he has an ERA of 4.39. He has had to often work around high pitch counts and issuing walks, which he has 32 throughout the season.

Trevor Williams: C

Throughout 49.1 innings, Williams has an ERA of 6.38. He has had some rough starts, allowing 5 or more runs in 5/10 of his starts. Williams has issued 15 walks and 41 strikeouts. He has had to work around runs and high pitch counts.

Michael Soroka: B-

In 4 starts, Soroka pitched 19.2 innings. Throughout those starts, he has an ERA of 5.95. Soroka has issued only 4 walks with 23 strikeouts. He battled a right bicep strain early in the season but has returned to the starting rotation.

Brad Lord: B

Through 6 starts, Lord has an ERA of 4.58. Lord replaced Soroka when he was on the IL. He has issued 33 strikeouts and 13 walks in 37.1 innings.  He moved into the bullpen after Soroka returned.
